Starring Kristen Stewart? She wishes.

Have you ever watched a movie on television you've seen before, but in the publicity hyping the picture, the network chooses to emphasize a nominal cast member who is recently famous over the actual star of the picture? It happens all the time with the bargain bin DVDs at Wal-Mart, as the recently popular supporting cast member now has his or her face prominently displayed on the cover art instead of the movie's star. That is one of my movie pet peeves. Let me give you a specific example.
I was watching "Panic Room" recently on the Lifetime Movie Network with the ReelWife. "Panic Room" stars the famous, Oscar-winning Jodie Foster and the less-famous but also Oscar-winning Forrest Whitaker. However, Lifetime kept stating after the commercial break, "and now back to Kristen Stewart in 'Panic Room'." The same Kristen Stewart who stars in the blockbuster "Twilight" series. The problem is, Stewart is a minor supporting character in the picture who is in the entire movie but only has about a dozen lines. She is only 11 or 12 years old in the movie and the story really isn't about her.
Maybe I could have accepted a co-billing with Jodie Foster in Lifetime's hype-machine but sole billing felt disrespectful of the picture, Foster, and just plain dishonest. This is sadly not the sole example of this occurring and I'm sure it won't be the last. It is similar to rewriting history to emphasize the stuff you want and leaving out the rest. But Hollywood only cares about your last big picture and this seems to be a continuation of that policy.
